Town Project Updates

Sewer Project - The Map and Plan Report has been filed with the town clerk. The board continues to seek funding and will bring the project to public hearing at a future date, and when we have some funding commitments.
Streetscape - Side walk curbs have been placed and the town highway crew will be pouring sidewalk over the summer. The board is working with the county through a grant program to hook up the lights and build a small pavilion that is in the plan.
Riverfront Park - The town is working with the county on a grant to be submitted in July for improvements to the park including a bathroom and updated stage. The supervisor is working with the county DPW committee to obtain the parcels at the southern end of the Riverfront complex via subdivision and then the county will donate the parcels to the town. The value of these parcels will be used as match for the grant.
The board entered into an agreement with Greg Tomb, glassblower, to occupy the Kellogg building as an artist in residence from June through mid-October. He will offer glassblowing experiences for free to town children. Check out his website here:
